Copper axolotls display warm brown, bronze, peach or copper-toned colouring. Their appearance is created by a distinctive combination of pigments that gives them a softer and warmer look than many darker axolotl morphs.
Iridophores are reflective pigment cells that create shimmering, metallic or glitter-like highlights under suitable aquarium lighting.

Oscar’s Aquarium Requirements
Oscar requires a fully cycled, cool-water freshwater aquarium with stable water conditions and generous floor space suitable for a large adult axolotl.
His aquarium should maintain:
Ammonia: 0 ppm
Nitrite: 0 ppm
Nitrate: kept low through regular testing and water changes
Cool, clean and properly dechlorinated water
Gentle filtration with minimal current
Smooth hides and axolotl-safe aquarium décor
Generous floor space for comfortable movement
A nutritious diet of quality earthworms or suitable premium axolotl food
Because Oscar is approximately 26 cm long, he requires an appropriately sized aquarium that allows him to move, turn and explore comfortably.
Axolotls must never be placed into an uncycled or incorrectly cycled aquarium. Little Lotl’s will ask a few questions about your setup before finalising the sale to help ensure Oscar is moving into a safe and suitable home.

Live axolotls are shipped on Mondays, subject to suitable weather conditions and public holidays.
Standard live-axolotl shipping is $50 within Australia Post Express Post Zones 1–3.
Addresses outside Express Post Zones 1–3 may incur additional shipping charges. Little Lotl’s will confirm any additional cost before shipping, and all outstanding charges must be paid before dispatch.
Please ensure someone is available to receive Oscar on the expected delivery day. If the parcel cannot be delivered and redelivery is required, a $35 redelivery fee will apply.
