1. Definitions

Little Lotl’s: The company operating this store, registered in Victoria, Australia. Customer: Any individual or entity placing an order on our website. Goods: All live and non‑live aquarium products sold by Little Lotl’s, including fish, amphibians, invertebrates, plants, equipment, and accessories. Order: A purchase request submitted by the Customer through our website.

2. Order Acceptance

All orders are subject to acceptance and stock availability. We reserve the right to reject or cancel any order at our discretion. Once accepted, you will receive an email confirmation — this constitutes a binding contract.

3. Products and Availability

​

We strive to keep stock levels accurate; however, availability may change without notice. If a product becomes unavailable after your order is placed, we will notify you promptly and offer alternatives or a full refund.

4. Pricing and Payment

​

All prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable. Payment is due in full at the time of order via credit/debit card or PayPal. We use industry‑standard encryption for payment processing and do not store payment details.

5. Shipping and Delivery

​

We ship Australia‑wide from our Melbourne facility. We do not ship outside of Australia.

• Live Goods: Typically arrive within 1–4 business days (Express Post zones 1–3).

• Dry Goods: Usually arrive within 3–7 business days.

• Shipping Fees: Calculated at checkout based on weight, dimensions, and destination.

Once goods are dispatched, risk transfers to you. Please inspect parcels immediately and report any damage within 2 hours of delivery.

Live Axolotl Shipping: $60.00 within Express Post zones 1–3. Addresses outside these zones may incur additional fees. If you are unavailable on the day of delivery, a redelivery fee of $35.00 will apply. We use Team Global Express and Australia Post for all deliveries.

6. Live Goods Shipping

​

Live fish, amphibians, plants, and seeded media are shipped only on Mondays (weather and public holidays permitting). All live shipments use insulated packaging and oxygen support. Accurate delivery details are essential — missed deliveries may endanger live goods. While we take every precaution, we cannot guarantee 100% survival due to factors beyond our control (e.g., weather, carrier handling). All live orders must be videotaped while opening within one hour of delivery notification for any claims to be valid.

7. Order Cancellation

​

Orders may be cancelled before dispatch by contacting us via email or phone. Once dispatched, live goods cannot be cancelled or returned.

8. Returns and Refunds

​

Non‑live goods may be returned within 14 days of receipt if unused, in original packaging, and in resaleable condition. To initiate a return, contact our support team for a Return Authorisation. Return shipping costs are at your expense unless the item is faulty or incorrect. Refunds are processed within 7 business days of receiving returned goods.

9. Consumer Guarantees

​

Your purchase is protected under Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement, repair, or refund if a product fails to meet consumer guarantees. Except as required by law, Little Lotl’s disclaims all other warranties.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Little Lotl’s liability is limited to the purchase price paid for the goods. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages arising from product use.
