Meet Pear, the glowing copper noodle with tiny dragon vibes and the permanent expression of someone trying very hard to remember why they swam into that corner.
Pear is a stunning Axanthic Copper Axolotl with rich copper colouring and an incredible cranial glow under UV lighting. The unique Axanthic genetics create a rare and eye-catching appearance that makes Pear a standout feature in freshwater axolotl aquariums, planted tanks, and natural aquascape setups.
At approximately 17cm in length, Pear is still growing and already full of personality. Currently unsexed, Pear spends most of the day slowly exploring the tank, inspecting plants with deep suspicion, and magically appearing at the front glass the exact moment food is nearby.
Under UV lighting, the glowing cranial feature creates an amazing visual effect highly sought after by axolotl enthusiasts and collectors. Combined with the beautiful copper tones and curious behaviour, Pear is the perfect blend of rare genetics, aquatic beauty, and adorable chaos.

Axolotl Sales & Care Information
All of our axolotls are photographed individually, so the little lotl you see in the listing is the exact one you’ll receive. Each one is unique, even if some may look similar.
We take photos in natural lighting to show their colours as accurately as possible. Colours can still vary slightly depending on lighting and screens. We mainly use our phones for photography, but if you’d like extra photos or videos, we’re always happy to send more.
Every axolotl comes with transition feed and detailed care information sheets to help them settle in comfortably.
We also offer lifetime support. Whether you’re brand new to axolotls or have kept them for years, we’re here to help you give your lotl the best life possible.
Before finalising a sale, we’ll ask a few questions about your setup. We won’t sell an axolotl if your tank is uncycled or incorrectly cycled. This is purely for the safety of the animal, as an uncycled tank can:
Kill an axolotl within a few days, or
Cause slow organ failure over 3–12 months.
It’s also important to use axolotl‑safe products. Most fish products aren’t suitable. If axolotl‑specific items aren’t available in your area, turtle products are usually the next safest option.
We’re more than happy to help you cycle your tank, choose safe products, and answer any questions you may have — just reach out anytime.
If you fall in love with a particular axolotl but your tank isn’t quite ready, you’re welcome to purchase and reserve that lotl. We can hold them for you until your setup is safe. Holding fee: $5.00 per week, invoiced and paid before dispatch.

All live axolotls are shipped on Mondays (weather and public holidays permitting).
