Pixel is a beautiful copper axolotl measuring approximately 18 cm in length. Her remarkable camouflage-style markings create a naturally patterned appearance that looks different from every angle, making her a wonderfully individual addition to a carefully maintained freshwater aquarium.
Pixel currently appears to be female, although her sex cannot be guaranteed at this stage.
Healthy, active and full of curiosity, Pixel enjoys exploring every corner of the aquarium, supervising tank maintenance and materialising at the front glass whenever food becomes even remotely likely.
She may be an expert at blending in, but subtlety disappears completely at dinner time.

What Is a Copper Axolotl?
Copper axolotls display warm earthy colouring that may include bronze, peach, caramel, chocolate and reddish-brown tones.
Their eyes, freckles and markings are generally softer and warmer than those seen in many darker axolotl morphs. Each copper axolotl develops an individual combination of colour, pattern and contrast.
Pixel’s unusual camouflage-style markings give her a particularly natural and distinctive appearance. She looks ready to disappear among the aquarium decorations, although her enthusiasm for food usually reveals her location immediately.
Is Pixel Female?
Pixel currently appears to be female based on her visible development, but her sex cannot be guaranteed at this stage.
Axolotl sex can become easier to confirm as the animal continues to mature and develops clearer physical characteristics. Until then, Pixel should be considered possibly female rather than visually confirmed female.
Regardless of the final verdict, Pixel will remain equally talented at exploring, posing and requesting additional worms.
Pixel’s Aquarium Requirements
Pixel requires a fully cycled, cool-water freshwater aquarium with stable water conditions and suitable floor space for continued growth.
The aquarium should maintain:
Ammonia: 0 ppm
Nitrite: 0 ppm
Nitrate: kept low through regular testing and water changes
Cool, clean and properly dechlorinated water
Gentle filtration with minimal current
Smooth hides and axolotl-safe aquarium décor
Low or subdued everyday lighting
Adequate floor space for comfortable movement
A nutritious diet of quality earthworms or suitable premium axolotl food
Axolotls must never be placed into an uncycled or incorrectly cycled aquarium. Little Lotl’s will ask a few questions about your setup before finalising the sale to help ensure Pixel is moving into a safe and suitable home.
It is also important to use axolotl-safe aquarium products, as many standard fish medications, chemicals and treatments are not suitable for axolotls.

Every Little Lotl’s axolotl is individually photographed and listed. The axolotl shown in Pixel’s photographs is the exact axolotl you will receive.
Photographs are taken in natural lighting wherever possible to represent her copper colouring and camouflage-style markings accurately. Her colour and pattern may still appear slightly different depending on aquarium lighting and individual screen settings.
Additional photographs or videos can be provided upon request. Pixel may attempt to camouflage herself during the session, but the catering department usually knows how to locate her.

Shipping, Holding and Delivery Costs
Live axolotls are shipped on Mondays, subject to suitable weather conditions and public holidays.
Standard live-axolotl shipping is $60 within Australia Post Express Post Zones 1–3.
Addresses outside Express Post Zones 1–3 may incur additional shipping charges. Little Lotl’s will confirm any additional cost before shipping, and all outstanding charges must be paid before dispatch.
Please ensure someone is available to receive Pixel on the expected delivery day. If the parcel cannot be delivered and redelivery is required, a $35 redelivery fee will apply.
Still preparing or cycling your aquarium? Pixel can be purchased and reserved until the new aquarium is ready. A holding fee of $5 per week applies and must be paid before dispatch.
Shipping, holding, redelivery and any additional-zone charges are separate from the listed purchase price.
