Are These Tanks Suitable for Axolotls?
Yes. The 3ft and 4ft models are especially well suited to axolotl aquarium setups because they provide a longer footprint and useful floor space.
Axolotls spend most of their time near the bottom of the aquarium, so tank length and accessible floor area are important considerations.
The aquarium must still be fitted with suitable filtration, cooling equipment and hides before it becomes a complete axolotl habitat.
Before adding an axolotl, the tank must also be fully cycled and consistently test at:
Ammonia: 0 ppm
Nitrite: 0 ppm
Nitrate: within a safe and manageable range
