Axolotl Cycle-right
 
There are now two recognised ways to cycle a new aquarium, but only one allows you to establish a healthy biological filter without exposing aquatic animals to unnecessary stress.
Traditional fish-in cycling relies on live fish producing waste, which breaks down into ammonia and feeds beneficial nitrifying bacteria. While commonly used in the past, this method can place fish and axolotls under significant stress due to fluctuating ammonia and nitrite levels during the cycling process.
 
Cycle-Right provides a safer and more controlled alternative. Designed specifically for fishless aquarium cycling, it supplies a clean ammonia source to help establish beneficial bacteria quickly and effectively, without risking the health of your aquatic pets.
 
By maintaining ammonia levels between 1–2 ppm and monitoring water parameters regularly, you can safely cycle your aquarium and prepare a stable environment for your axolotl.

Directions for Use
 
Step 1
Add 1ml of Cycle-Right per 10 litres of aquarium water, then test ammonia levels.
 
Step 2
If ammonia levels are between 1–2 ppm, wait 4 days before retesting.
 
Step 3
If ammonia levels are below 1 ppm, add additional Cycle-Right and retest.
As a guide, 1ml per 20 litres of water increases ammonia by approximately 0.25–0.5 ppm.
Repeat as required until ammonia levels remain between 1–2 ppm.
 
Step 4
On Day 5, test ammonia levels again and top up if required following the instructions above.
 
Step 5
From Day 7 onwards, begin daily testing for both ammonia and nitrite.
If ammonia levels fall below 1 ppm, continue dosing Cycle-Right as needed to maintain levels between 1–2 ppm.
 
Step 6
Once both ammonia and nitrite test at zero for 4 consecutive days, discontinue dosing.
Wait 24 hours and retest the aquarium water. If both ammonia and nitrite remain at zero, your aquarium is fully cycled and ready for your axolotl.
