What Does Cycle-Right Do?
 
During the aquarium cycle, beneficial bacteria develop inside the filter and on aquarium surfaces.
 
These bacteria process waste through the nitrogen cycle:
 
Ammonia is converted into nitrite
Nitrite is converted into nitrate
Nitrate is managed through regular water changes
 
Cycle-Right supplies the ammonia needed to feed these bacteria while the aquarium is empty.
 
Directions for Use
 
Step 1
Add 1ml of Cycle-Right per 10 litres of aquarium water, then test the ammonia level.
 
Step 2
When ammonia is between 1–2ppm, wait four days before testing again.
 
Step 3
If ammonia falls below 1ppm, add more Cycle-Right and retest.
As a guide, 1ml per 20 litres may increase ammonia by approximately 0.25–0.5ppm.
 
Step 4
Test again on Day 5 and top up Cycle-Right if required.
 
Step 5
From Day 7, test ammonia and nitrite daily. Continue dosing as needed to maintain ammonia between 1–2ppm.
 
Step 6
When ammonia and nitrite both test at 0ppm for four consecutive days, stop dosing.
Wait 24 hours and test again. If ammonia and nitrite remain at zero, the aquarium is considered cycled and ready for its future resident.

What Results Should a Cycled Aquarium Show?
 
Before adding an axolotl, the aquarium should consistently test at:
 
Ammonia: 0ppm
Nitrite: 0ppm
Nitrate: present but kept within a safe, manageable range
Stable pH, GH and KH suitable for axolotls
