The Petworx Mini Bio Sponge Filter is a compact and effective aquarium filtration solution perfect for small aquariums, shrimp tanks, breeding tanks, fry tanks, and tubbing setups for axolotls. Designed with quiet operation and gentle water flow, this mini sponge filter provides excellent biological and mechanical filtration while also helping oxygenate aquarium water.
 
Using a simple airlift system powered by an aquarium air pump, water is drawn through the specially developed foam sponge where waste particles are trapped and beneficial bacteria colonise the surface. These beneficial bacteria help support the aquarium nitrogen cycle by breaking down harmful ammonia and nitrite, helping maintain a cleaner, healthier, and safer aquatic environment.
 
The gentle filtration makes this sponge filter ideal for baby fish, shrimp, delicate aquatic species, and axolotls that require low-flow environments without strong currents.
