Meet Bananay –Hypo Golden Albino Axolotl
Some axolotls are cute. Some are beautiful. Bananay somehow decided to be both.
Bananay is a stunning Hypo Golden Albino Axolotl with bright golden colouring, beautiful features, and enough personality to become the undisputed ruler of any aquarium. Currently appearing to be female, although this cannot be guaranteed, Bananay is already turning heads with her unique appearance and charming character.
As an Hypo Golden Albino, Bananay possesses one of the most sought-after genetic combinations in the axolotl world. Under UV or blue light, she displays the incredible cranial glow that makes Axanthic axolotls so fascinating and highly prized among collectors and enthusiasts.
When she's not showing off her good looks, Bananay can usually be found inspecting the aquarium for snacks, supervising absolutely everything, or sitting perfectly still while somehow remaining the centre of attention.

Axolotl Sales & Care Information
All of our axolotls are photographed individually, so the little lotl you see in the listing is the exact one you’ll receive. Each one is unique, even if some may look similar.
We take photos in natural lighting to show their colours as accurately as possible. Colours can still vary slightly depending on lighting and screens. We mainly use our phones for photography, but if you’d like extra photos or videos, we’re always happy to send more.
Every axolotl comes with transition feed and detailed care information sheets to help them settle in comfortably.
We also offer lifetime support. Whether you’re brand new to axolotls or have kept them for years, we’re here to help you give your lotl the best life possible.
Before finalising a sale, we’ll ask a few questions about your setup. We won’t sell an axolotl if your tank is uncycled or incorrectly cycled. This is purely for the safety of the animal, as an uncycled tank can:
Kill an axolotl within a few days, or
Cause slow organ failure over 3–12 months.
It’s also important to use axolotl‑safe products. Most fish products aren’t suitable. If axolotl‑specific items aren’t available in your area, turtle products are usually the next safest option.
We’re more than happy to help you cycle your tank, choose safe products, and answer any questions you may have — just reach out anytime.
If you fall in love with a particular axolotl but your tank isn’t quite ready, you’re welcome to purchase and reserve that lotl. We can hold them for you until your setup is safe. Holding fee: $5.00 per week, invoiced and paid before dispatch.

All live axolotls are shipped on Mondays (weather and public holidays permitting).
