Meet Kai – Axanthic Golden Axolotl
Introducing Kai, a stunning Axanthic Golden Axolotl with enough charm to turn a simple aquarium into the main attraction of the entire house.
With beautiful golden colouring and the unique genetics of an Axanthic Axolotl, Kai is the perfect blend of elegance, curiosity, and aquatic mischief. Under UV or blue light, Kai displays the incredible cranial glow that makes Axanthic axolotls one of the most sought-after and fascinating morphs available.
Kai is currently looking likely to be female, although this cannot be guaranteed at this stage. What can be guaranteed is that she has mastered the fine art of looking adorable while doing absolutely nothing.
Whether she is gracefully cruising around the aquarium, investigating imaginary snacks, or sitting perfectly still while pretending to be a decorative ornament, Kai always knows how to steal the spotlight.

Axolotl Sales & Care Information
All of our axolotls are photographed individually, so the little lotl you see in the listing is the exact one you’ll receive. Each one is unique, even if some may look similar.
We take photos in natural lighting to show their colours as accurately as possible. Colours can still vary slightly depending on lighting and screens. We mainly use our phones for photography, but if you’d like extra photos or videos, we’re always happy to send more.
Every axolotl comes with transition feed and detailed care information sheets to help them settle in comfortably.
We also offer lifetime support. Whether you’re brand new to axolotls or have kept them for years, we’re here to help you give your lotl the best life possible.
Before finalising a sale, we’ll ask a few questions about your setup. We won’t sell an axolotl if your tank is uncycled or incorrectly cycled. This is purely for the safety of the animal, as an uncycled tank can:
Kill an axolotl within a few days, or
Cause slow organ failure over 3–12 months.
It’s also important to use axolotl‑safe products. Most fish products aren’t suitable. If axolotl‑specific items aren’t available in your area, turtle products are usually the next safest option.
We’re more than happy to help you cycle your tank, choose safe products, and answer any questions you may have — just reach out anytime.
If you fall in love with a particular axolotl but your tank isn’t quite ready, you’re welcome to purchase and reserve that lotl. We can hold them for you until your setup is safe. Holding fee: $5.00 per week, invoiced and paid before dispatch.
Shipping Information
All live axolotls are shipped on Mondays (weather and public holidays permitting).
