Bumble’s Personality

Bumble enjoys floating through the aquarium, inspecting plants and appearing at the front glass whenever food enters the conversation.

Bumble currently operates under the belief that every movement outside the tank is probably snack-related.

Behaviour may change as an axolotl settles into a new environment, but our observations help you get to know the individual animal you are choosing.

What Makes Bumble Special?

Bumble’s standout feature is the high iridophore coverage.

Iridophores are reflective pigment cells that create shimmering metallic highlights. Across Bumble’s golden colouring, they form a distinctive mosaic-like pattern that catches the light beautifully.

All that sparkle is entirely natural. Glitter, batteries and a miniature aquarium lighting technician are unnecessary.

Colour and sparkle may vary slightly depending on aquarium lighting, photography and screen settings.
